We Have

One Planet

As far as we know, the world we inhabit is one of a kind.

Life began as single celled organisms long ago, and in the hundreds of millions of years that followed, complex life evolved. Continuous evolution and speciation through the process of natural selection, has led to a world rich in diversity and wonder. Each species is continuously adapting to the environments they face, yet accelerated climate change causes many specialised species to struggle with such quick shifts in their world.

Biodiversity is so special and without it the world would be a dull place.

Welcome to my website, and thank you so much for visiting.

I have been an amateur wildlife photographer and filmmaker for many years with a main interest in arthropods and other invertebrates.

For me it isn't just about getting a great shot, as my love for the natural world is what drives me, so my main aim is to understand and learn more about the organisms I find and document.

I am a biologist in training and take detailed field notes of my finds and changes I notice throughout the year, from temperature changes to soil acidity around ant nests.

On this site you will find my photo gallery of the natural world, pages that are dedicated to specific organisms, along with many other pages of information and behind the scenes

This page will walk you through details of British spider species, all photographed by myself. I will talk of the  incredible differences between them and why they are such amazing creatures.
